CliftonStrengths FAQ

The local draft is unavailable. This guide distinguishes it from Gallup's official assessment.

Can I take CliftonStrengths on this website?

No. The local draft is unavailable pending review of instrument identity, naming, item provenance, permissions, scoring opportunities, and evidence. This site does not provide Gallup's official assessment or report. The guide links to the official provider as a separate service.

How does the local draft differ from Gallup's assessment?

The local draft has 102 single-statement agreement items mapped to 34 themes and uses custom scoring. Gallup describes a paired-statement assessment. The response formats and scoring are not interchangeable. No authorization or affiliation record has been verified for this local implementation.

What is CliftonStrengths, and is it the same as StrengthsFinder?

CliftonStrengths is Gallup's talent-theme framework, also known through the earlier StrengthsFinder name. That naming history concerns the provider's product. It does not make the different local draft an official instrument or establish equivalent results.

What are the four domains?

The 34 themes are grouped into Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building, and Strategic Thinking. These are categories for discussing approaches to work and interaction, not four measured abilities or an established recipe for team composition. The guide lists the themes with brief educational summaries.

Is the local implementation scientifically validated?

It has not been empirically validated. Gallup's research, reliability coefficients, and business outcomes do not validate the local items or custom scores. No supported local accuracy percentage is available. Item and theme naming alone cannot transfer evidence from a published instrument.

What did local scores mean?

The local draft used a custom within-person min-max index, not Gallup's scoring. Where raw totals differ, it stretches their lowest and highest values to the ends of a 0-100 display. Scores are not percentiles, population norms, amounts of talent, or probabilities of success. Unequal scoring opportunities also need review.

Do bottom-ranked themes show my weaknesses?

No. A lower local ranking does not establish inability, less potential, or a skill you cannot develop. A higher ranking does not demonstrate competence. Ties and small differences cannot support a definitive top-five identity. Older local outputs are not official CliftonStrengths reports.

Is my exact profile one in 33 million?

This site cannot establish that probability. Counting possible ordered combinations of five out of 34 themes does not show how likely real profiles are. Observed combinations need not be equally likely, so a combinatorial count is not evidence of personal uniqueness.

What if I disagree with a result?

You can reject a result that does not fit. The questionnaire or interpretation may be wrong or uninformative; disagreement is not proof that you misunderstand your talents. Consider concrete examples and feedback rather than forcing yourself to accept a label. For an official report, refer to the provider's guidance.

Can I use local results for career or team decisions?

No consequential use is supported. This guide is for voluntary educational reflection, not diagnosis, treatment planning, hiring, promotion, educational placement, or eligibility decisions. Do not assign roles or opportunities from local rankings. They do not establish job fit, leadership ability, or an ideal domain balance.

Do strengths discussions guarantee better business results?

No guarantee is supported here. Claims about profit, engagement, performance, or turnover need evidence for an identified intervention, comparison, and context. They cannot be borrowed from the reputation or research of a different instrument. A voluntary conversation can focus on actual tasks and support without promising an outcome.

How can I reflect on strengths while the draft is unavailable?

Choose an activity you enjoyed, identify what you did well using specific evidence, and decide what you want to practice. Do not abandon essential skills because they were low in an old ranking. There is no available local session or completion-time promise; the official provider has its own administration and terms.
